In it’s original condition, this kitchen is enclosed up using a partition wall that comes with a see through glass panel. It is meant to divide the kitchen from living room. However, after years of living the owners felt that the kitchen space is tight and claustrophobic. On top of that, because it is enclosed, it makes the kitchen dark and dull which makes the kitchen seem even more constrained.  The owners, did not like that and felt uncomfortable stepping into the kitchen. Therefore, they have engaged us to hack off the partition wall to open up the kitchen space as much as possible.

Doing an open-concept for the kitchen makes so much sense. Firstly because the space layout for entire living and dining which all connects to the kitchen is quite tight and opening up the kitchen makes it much more spacious. Secondly, the kitchen is facing the balcony, therefore bringing ample amount of natural sunlight into the house in the day, featuring the beautiful waterfall island in sintered stone with Calcutta marble design table-top finish.

Renovating an entire space is much simpler and has less complications compared to renovating just part of your home. This project is no different and was not an easy one for a few reasons; such as manpower issues and many more. However, we were really glad and thankful that the owners of this house put their trust in us and were really patient with the entire renovation process.
